Xiss web is a open source project. The Xiss web application is under GPL license (external link) (GNU General Plublic License). The libraries (file, worker and preferences) are under the LGPL license (external link) (GNU Lesser General Plublic License).

Installation

Xiss web is compatible with Java2 1.4, Java 5 et Java 6. So, Xiss web requires Java2 SE 1.4, 1.5 or 1.6 (external link). You must have a compatible J2RE installed.

The installation is simple, just unzip Xiss web zip file in the directory of your choice. Then open and read the readme.txt file.

Xiss web is made of 6 packages:

• xissweb-bin: the runable package (include this documentation);
• xissweb-src: the sources for developers;
• xissweb-examples: the examples, recommanded to learn how to use Xiss web;
• xiss-file, xiss-worker, xiss-prefs: documentation, sources and binary of respectively the file, worker and preferences libraries.

All of these packages are available on Source Forge (external link).
